Mulching is more and more popular for maintenance of the meadows, gardens and other public grass areas such as cemetery, parks, highway´s dike. According to the construction of the cutting mechanism drive there are 2 types of mulcher:
- rotary mulchers
- flail mulchers
When mulching grass we always leave all material on the ground. To mulch grasslands means to save working time and it is not necessary to rake the grass or take it off. The land is enriched with the necessary nutrients by spreaded chopped grass which becomes a source of humus. Freshly mulched grass is decomposed quickly. When you mulch regularly the decomposition can take just 2 weeks. And when the mulched grass gets wet after rain and then the sun starts shining, the process will speed up. If you mulch the overgrown grass at the end of summer it will disappear till the next spring.
Before you choose the appropriate mulching machine it is necessary to answer the question "What king of grass do you need to mulch?". There are different demands for mowing with necessity of park surface finish on the flat lands and other in nature areas where mowing only once in 2 years is required and where there is a common occurencce of anthills. The advantages of the rotating adaptors are different that the advantages of the flail mower adaptor. However, everybody will choose.
Tekton mulchers are suitable for lands with many different obstacles which must be bypassed (trees, growing patches, curbs etc.). Tekton mower is light, very easily connected and disconnected travel. The control bar can be held with one hand only, therefore you can mow under low trees by walking next to the mower without bending the branches. Individual Tekton modules differ with the applied engine and work adaptor. Tekton enables the use of SUNI single mowing disc, SUNI 2 full sur face covered double disc, which you can change to the mulching machine or snow plough. These machines are popular among women too.
Panter mulcher is appropriate especially for larger areas over 2,000 m2 without any obstacles.
M 70 mulcher is light, basically heavy-duty, rotating device which is compatible for all Panter driving units. In connection with Panter FD-2 and thanks to its 71 cm operating width you will be faster than with Tekton mulcher. When you connect the mulcher to Panter FD-3 driving unit you will be able to cope with one-metre high grass, reeds around the ponds etc.
With M 121 two-blade mulcher, one must exercises caution so therefore it is suitable only for flat lands. However, thanks to its 121 cm operating width you can reach maximum hourly output 3,000 m2 hour while mowing even tall grass.
MC 100 flail mulcher cuts everything that is in its way and it is perfectly covered so it is appropriate for solar power plant and for not maintained lands. The 36 knives take care of everything.
The main advantage of Panter driving unit is that it has 20 compatible adaptors. You can find them at the very bottom on page of each mulcher as "Compatible adaptors." The operator will appreciate for sure the possibility to attach a seat so he cannot walk behind Panter driving unit. You can choose from a standard or steerable seat which make the works more comfortable. Otherwise to mow one hectare with our RZS 70 mower which has 69 cm operating width means to walk 20 kilometers.
